Meaningful Branding and Advertising

Working with nonprofits is a large part of what we do. We are pleased to help them further their causes by providing professional and affordable services. Our client, Joshua’s House Hospice, is set to open the first hospice for the terminally ill homeless on the west coast this Spring. They will be located in downtown Sacramento and will serve terminally ill patients referred by local hospitals. In short, their goal is to provide comfort, support, respect, and love to those in their end days who would otherwise suffer on the streets.

We were not only inspired by this undertaking but also by organization founder and CEO, Marlene von Friederichs-Fitzwater, who shares a two-fold personal story as to how Joshua’s House came to be. She herself has lived through a battle with cancer, and her grandson, Joshua, had struggled with homelessness and ultimately died on the streets. These unfortunate life events prompted her idea to start Joshua’s House. There is no question that she honors her grandson in her work to open this facility, and the positive impact she is making within the community goes without saying.

Last month Joshua’s House held its first annual Sip, Savor, and Sway Gala. Not only a fundraiser but also a unique event to thank all of its supporters. We were very excited to design the event logo and collateral materials to include a sponsorship brochure, posters, signage, and program.

The Gala took place at the historic Masonic Temple in Sacramento. Billed as the only Prohibition-Era event of its kind to date, we were inspired by Art Deco influences and we did research in colors and fonts of that time period. Needless to say, we are very proud of our work and we look forward to continuing our working relationship with Joshua’s House and to see the facility open!
